Blog Week #4

In this week i have finalised the design for my front cover which uses two images from the photo shoot i have had a week ago, i have used Photoshop to crop out my models and place them into my work then using different lighting effects i made a white glow around my models using the refine edge tool so that there is a feather around them, this was to add the effect of contrast heavily over the black background. I have chosen to use the title of my magazine "Enviro Monthly" as a modern take on a classical newspaper name. I chose to use a 3-color scheme of black, white and red. and made use of the white in my models clothing to help contrast with the black.

I have used multiple Photoshop blending effects on all of the text within the front cover, using things such as bevel and emboss to made all titles, subheads and sell-lines to seem as if they're popping out of the page toward the reader. I have also used a wide range of brush effects to give the borders of my sell-line boxes a shattered glass effect to draw in the readers attention.

My target for next week is to have finished both my article and my double page spread design, so that they can be finalized and evaluated the following week.
