Blog, Week #2

This week i finalised my pre-production and had my photo shoot booked for Wednesday, so i began work on laying out my design for my double page spread. I decided on the idea of having a cinema screen themed setup with a large main image across the top, which dominates the top section of both pages. Then i will split them to create a binary opposition being signified from the different pages.

Then for my front page cover design i have began planning out the layout. Which will have a main image of a person giving another person a piggyback, connotating to a polar bear piggybacking their young in case they break through the ice.

Last week i began work on all of my pre-production materials.

Using mood boards such as this i have gathered the basic ideas that i will use to influence my Flat plans. Such as the different things that are being talked about inthe media such as the "running out of time" expression and the effects that global warming may be having on animals such as penguins and polar bears. i have also included a selection of colours that can connotate to heat and ice.

• Rationals

I have wrote a rational for both of my flat plans so that i can continue to develop the presentation of my final piece. To make sure that my work addresses my audience correctly and helps remove the right AIDA barriers.

• Treatment

 In my treatment i began to finalize my objectives for my work overall, separating my focuses into sections such as color, typography, layout and narrative. With this breakdown of my idea i was able to construct a solid idea for both of my pieces, and my article.

• Mock ups

For my mock up's i have tried to focus on the idea that Global warming is an uphill struggle, i aim to create a piece of work which my target audience will find interesting, humorous but still serious at the same time.

Targets:
My targets for this week are to get my photo shoot fully planned and the photo's taken by the end of the week, so that i can begin setting out my basic plan for my front page and double-page spread.
